As practitioners in high-end manufacturing, to successfully carry out transformation and upgrading and achieve a leapfrog advancement, it is necessary to focus on both internal and external aspects and enhance one's own competitiveness. 

In recent years, the economic pressure has intensified, and as a manufacturing worker, I have deeply felt the necessity of reducing overcapacity. Just looking at Jinxiang's products, the phenomenon of excessive supply and reduced demand has become increasingly severe. Many enterprises in the same industry have shut down and gone bankrupt. Our profits have declined, and the workers' morale is also poor. To change this situation, transformation and upgrading is the only way forward. First of all, we need advanced equipment to maximize efficiency. Jinxiang originally came from a machinery factory and had assets of several million yuan. To seek development, we purchased advanced equipment, software and technology from Germany. Through efforts, by the end of 2011, the output value of Jinxiang Transmission exceeded 300 million yuan, and its ranking in the industry also rose to the top three in the province and the fifth in the country. Facts tell us that to achieve transformation and upgrading, the "hard power" of advanced equipment and technology must be possessed. 

Secondly, it is necessary to enhance the R&D capabilities of the enterprises themselves. Once equipment is purchased, not only should its efficiency be maximized, but it should also be integrated and utilized for our own purposes, eventually becoming our own technology. Currently, some core technologies and materials in the manufacturing industry are in the hands of developed countries abroad, which hinders the development of domestic enterprises. To change this situation, the government needs to strengthen R&D and increase investment, and enterprises should also have an active mindset and make some major improvements for themselves.
