The correct installation of the reducer

1.Before installation, ensure that the motor and reducer are in good condition without any damage. Also, carefully check whether the dimensions of all the connecting parts between the motor and the reducer are compatible. Here, the dimensions of the positioning protrusion of the motor, the input shaft, and the groove of the reducer, as well as the fit tolerances, should be verified. 

2. Remove the screws on the outer side of the dust-proof hole of the reducer flange. Adjust the clamping ring of the PCS system so that its side hole aligns with the dust-proof hole. Insert an internal hexagon and tighten it. Then, remove the key of the motor shaft. 

3. Securely connect the motor and the reducer. During the connection process, it is essential to ensure that the output shaft of the reducer is concentric with the input shaft of the motor, and that the outer flanges of both are parallel. If the concentricity is not consistent, it will cause the motor shaft to break or the gears of the reducer to wear out. 

4. During installation, do not use a hammer or any other tool to strike. This is to prevent excessive axial or radial force from damaging the bearings or gears. Make sure to tighten the installation bolts first, and then tighten the torque bolts. Before installation, wipe off the rust oil on the motor input shaft, the positioning boss, and the connection part of the reducer with gasoline or zinc-sodium water. The purpose is to ensure the tightness of the connection and the flexibility of operation, and to prevent unnecessary wear. 

5. Before connecting the motor to the reducer, please ensure that the key slot on the motor shaft is perpendicular to the tightening bolt. To ensure uniform force distribution, first screw in any diagonal installation bolt without tightening it, and then tighten it. 

6. Finally, tighten each of the two diagonal installation bolts one by one. Then, tighten the tension bolts. All tension bolts must be fixed and checked using a torque wrench according to the specified fixed torque values. The relevant data of the right-angle reducer is not exactly the same as that of the same model linear reducer. Please note this for the users. 

7. The correct installation of the reducer and the mechanical equipment is similar to that of the reducer and the driving motor. The key point is that it is essential to ensure that the output shaft of the reducer is concentric with the shaft of the driven part.
