Installation and Use of GFT-W Series Crown Gear Reducer for Hoists 

The coupling used in the reducer comes in various selectable types. However, it is advisable not to use rigid fixed couplings. Such couplings are difficult to install and, if installed improperly, they will increase the load, which can easily cause damage to the bearings and even result in the fracture of the output shaft. 

2. The fixation of the reducer is of great importance. It must be ensured to be stable and firm. Generally speaking, we should install the reducer on a horizontal foundation or base. At the same time, the oil in the oil drain groove should be able to be discharged, and the cooling air circulation should be smooth. If the fixation of the reducer is poor and the foundation is unreliable, problems such as vibration will occur, and the bearings and gears will also suffer unnecessary damage.

Maintenance of the GFT-W series winch planetary reducer: 

Different types of lubricants must not be mixed for use. The positions of the oil level plug, the drain plug and the vent are determined by the installation location. 

Oil level check: 

Cut off the power supply to prevent electric shock. Wait for the reducer to cool down. 

2. Remove the oil level cap and check if the oil is fully filled. 

3. Install the oil level cap. 

Oil inspection: 

Cut off the power supply. Shut down the planetary hoist reducer to prevent electric shock. Wait for the reducer to cool down. 

2. Unscrew the oil drain plug and take an oil sample; 

3. Check the viscosity index of the oil: If the oil appears visibly cloudy, it is recommended to replace it as soon as possible. 

4. For reducers with oil level plugs: Check the oil level to ensure it is within the acceptable range; Install the oil level plug.
