Automatic escalator traction machine reducer

Automatic escalators are now indispensable facilities in public transportation hubs such as subway stations, airports, railway stations, and shopping malls. In 2009, the number of escalators in China exceeded 150,000 units. This figure is bound to continue increasing as the country's economy continues to develop rapidly and public transportation systems are further improved. 

The traction machine is the power equipment for the escalator, providing the required torque and speed for its operation. It is known as the "heart" of the escalator. 

Jinxiang Transmission conducted research on the transmission structure and performance requirements of escalators, referred to relevant national standards and the "Mechanical Design Handbook", and through rigorous calculations and verifications, designed a worm gear reducer specifically for traction machines that meets the usage requirements of escalators. 

The traction machine reducer of the escalator is of a vertical structure, featuring a worm gear and worm reduction. It has a power of 11kw and an output speed of 39.18r/min. It is suitable for an escalator with a step height of 0.2m, a step depth of 0.4m, a nominal width of 0.8m, an inclination angle of 30°, and a lifting height of 5m. It is used for escalators with a rated speed of 0.75m/s.
